recruit training; attended career school Naval Amphib Base Little Creek, VA. In Feb of 1985 was assigned to Detachment B, 1st FSSG at MCAS El Toro. In October of 1986, was assigned to the Electronics Maintenance Company, 3rd FSSG, aboard Camp Kinser Okinawa for duty. In Sep of 1987, was transferred to the 4th Battalion, 10th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division aboard Camp Lejeune NC. In Jul of 1989, was transferred to the 5th Battalion 10th Marine Regiment. In Sep 1991, was assigned to MWHS-4, 4th MAW, New Orleans LA. In Aug of 1995, was transferred to 9th Engineer Support Battalion, 3rd FSSG, Camp Hansen, Okinawa. In Aug of 1998 was reassigned to H&S Battalion, 3rd FSSG, Camp Kinser Okinawa. In Feb of 2001, was assigned to the Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, Chesapeake VA. In Sep 2003 was transferred to HQBN, 3d MARDIV, aboard Camp Courtney Okinawa. In Aug of 2006, was transferred to HQ, Marine Forces Reserve, New Orleans for duty.
Retired from the Marine Corps as a Master Gunnery Sergeant (E9) on 31 May 2009.
Personal awards include: (2) Meritorious Service Medals, (3) Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, (2) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals, (1) Humanitarian Service Medal, and (1) Combat Action Ribbon.
