About	John "Jack" Jola Obituary John was born on December 28, 1960 and departed this earth on June 12, 2024 after a brief hospital stay. John grew up in St Cloud, MN in a loving home with his mother Donna, father Vance and 2 sisters Leslie and Lauri. He attended Tech High School graduating in 1979. He joined the military with dreams of being a paratrooper but after an injury he was honorably discharged. Throughout his childhood and early adult life he spent many happy weekends at the family cabin on the Ash River Trail in Orr, MN. He loved the outdoors, hiking, fishing and camping and was also an avid scuba diver. Later in life he earned a B.S. degree in Computer Science from Saint Cloud State University. John earned his living with computers but he had many varied interests and knew a little bit about everything. He could talk to anyone and find common ground. John had 3 children and 2 stepchildren all of whom he loved dearly. He was a simple kind of man with a heart of gold. He always let people be who they were without agenda or judgment. He asked for nothing but would give a stranger or friend the shirt off his back without question, just an easy laugh and affable grin on his face. John found great happiness later in life with his wife Sahra. They made their home in Wisconsin where they often showed their Collie dogs, went to fairs and festivals and enjoyed living quietly in the countryside. John was an avid camper, sometimes they did day camping and sometimes John did overnight camps with his favorite dog. He was loved by countless friends, aunts, uncles and cousins and will be dearly missed by all. John is survived by his mother, Donna; his loving wife, Sahra; his children, Amanda (Jonathan) Fradette, Michael (Jenni) Jola and John Jola, Jr and their children; stepsons, Lance and Zack Bauer and his sisters, Leslie (Doug) Walter and their children, Nicole, Ryan and Tim and sister, Lauri (Todd) Lokken. He was preceded in death by his father, Vance and his grandparents.
