About	Robert Patrick Volkmuth, age 64, of Brainerd, passed away on Tuesday, December 18, 2018 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis. Bob was born in Saint Cloud to Richard & Lois (Maehren) Volkmuth. He married Suzanne Geschwill on September 12, 1992. Bob liked drag racing at BIR, working on Buicks, a Chevelle and other old cars. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins, Timberwolves, Vikings,the Wild and adaptive floor hockey at the High School. He liked old movies and the History Channel. Bob taught religion classes at St. Francis and St. Mathias Catholic Churches. He was a member of the MN Street Rod Association, and Northern Tin Street Rod Association. Bob is survived by his wife, Sue of Brainerd, sons: Al Geschwill of Minnetonka, Richard Volkmuth of Brainerd and Randy Volkmuth of Brainerd; mother, Lois of Baxter; siblings: Tim (Barb) Volkmuth of Brainerd, Peg (Marc) Serani of Baxter, John (Katy) Volkmuth of Princeton, Carol Volkmuth of Baxter, Jean Volkmuth of Baxter and Mary (Ben) Hawkins of Breckenridge, Texas; sister-in-law, Anita Volkmuth of Brainerd; 2 grandchildren, Naiomi Benson and Damion Geschwill. Bob is preceded in death by his father; and brother, Jerry Volkmuth.
Events	Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 27, 2018 at 11AM at St Mathias Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, December 26, 2018 from 4-7PM at Halvorson Johnson Funeral Home-BRAINERD CHAPEL, and one hour prior to the mass, Thursday at the church. Parish prayers will be at 6:30PM, Wednesday at the Funeral Home. Interment will be at the parish cemetery.
