John Frederick Oemcke, 65, died of cancer on Thursday, February 22, 2024 in Panama City, FL. John was born to Jeanne and Robert Oemcke in St. Cloud, MN. He graduated from St. Cloud Technical High School in 1978. John moved to Panama City Beach in 1983 and worked as a ceramic tile setter and was artistic in his work. He was a loving caregiver to both his parents. In recent years, John spent the summers in Minnesota at his home in Breezy Point. John loved cooking and eating. He enjoyed cars, motorcycles and boating. John also enjoyed spending time with his friends at Newby’s.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, Charlie Schramm; sister-in-law, Sandra Oemcke; and nephew Kent Bettendorf.
John is survived by his siblings, Christine Bettendorf (Tom) of Panama City Beach, Michael Oemcke (Barbara) of Green Valley, AZ, and Mary Oemcke of Seattle, WA; niece, Kathryn Cocker (Chad); and nephew, Spencer Schramm.
