George Allan Lanz, 74, of Lincoln, Nebraska, passed away on December 21,
2023. Born August 23, 1949, in St. Cloud, Minnesota to George and Adeline
(Miller) Lanz.
He met and married his wife Sandee while attending St Cloud State University.
He went on to serve for 4 years in the US Navy. They then moved back to St.
Cloud where he began selling computer hardware for Burroughs. Later they
moved to Lincoln, where he sold computer software for Fiserve
(Information Technology).
George loved to travel, play golf and more than anything be with his grand-
children. He was a member of Eastridge Presbyterian Church.
Family members include his wife, Sandra; daughters Carina Myers and
Christina (Jim) McCullough; grandchildren Hayley, Camron and Isabella
Myers, James and Leone McCullough; sisters Patricia Schmidt and Mary
Lanz (Tim Remus); nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial service: 11:00 am Friday, December 29, 2023, Eastridge
Presbyterian Church, 1135 Eastridge Drive, Lincoln, Nebraska, with a lunch
following.

George and I were always in homeroom together. I am shocked and saddened that he has passed. He was funny, kind, and sweet. I am so happy that he and I visited at the 2017 Tech reunion. To his family, my condolences.
