Shirlee M. Swanson, nee Johnston, 59, of Granton, Wis., and formerly of St. Charles, died Wednesday, June 13, 2001, at her home.
She was born March 3, 1942, in Grove City, Pa. the daughter of James E. and Marie E. (Schwartz) Johnston.
Mrs. Swanson graduated from St. Charles High School in 1960 and was a hairdresser in St. Charles for many years.
On June 23, 1962, she married Jerry Swanson of Geneva.
She is survived by her husband; one son, Michael of Granton, one sister, Patricia E. Nelson of St. Charles; one brother, James L. Johnston of St. Charles; and two nephews of St. Charles.
She was preceded in death by her father James E. Johnston; her mother Marie E. Fritts; and her step-father Russell Fritts.
Private funeral services were held in Granton.
