About	Janet (Swanberg) Diekman Born: Oct. 26, 1942; in Geneva Died: Nov. 5, 2010; in Rescue, Calif. RESCUE, Calif. – Janet Diekman, 68, of Rescue, formerly from the St. Charles area, passed on to her heavenly home on Friday, Nov. 5, 2010. She was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Geneva, to Elmer and Mae (Peterson) Swanberg, who preceded her in death. Janet is survived by her husband of 39 years, Ken Diekman of Rescue; one daughter, Christine Diekman of Hawaii; one brother, David (Betty) Swanberg of Santa Ana, Calif.; and many cousins. Janet grew up in the St. Charles area. She attended Central High School in Burlington for three years, graduating from St. Charles High School in 1960. She was a member of Grace Lutheran Church, Lily Lake, and then Bethlehem Lutheran Church, St. Charles. In 1968, Janet moved to southern California and in 1971 married Ken Diekman. Several years later they moved to the Sacramento area, where she served as an AWANA leader and was active in women's ministries at Gold Country Baptist Church, Shingle Springs, Calif. A memorial service will be held in northern California at a later date.
