About Me	Michael grew up in Saint Bernard, Ohio; and attended St. Clements Grade School and St. Bernard-Elmwood Place High School. After graduating from high school in 1969, he enlisted in the US Navy. Michael spent nine years in the Navy from September 1969 to December1978. Some of his highlights while in the Navy were: Attending one year of aviation electronics (Avionics) at the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Millington, TN. A four year tour of duty aboard the air carrier USS Independence A three year tour of duty as a technical instructor at the Naval Air Technical Training Center in Millington, TN. Earned an Associate of Science Degree in Vocational Technical Education from State Technical Institute at Memphis. Married Rochelle Goldsworthy on April 10, 1978. Reassigned to sea duty aboard the aircraft carrier USS Nimitz for his final year in the US Navy. Released from active duty in the Navy at his own request on December 15, 1978. Accepted a position as a Field Service Engineer/Technical Instructor/Curriculum Developer at Emerson Electric Company's Electronics & Space Division located in St. Louis, MO. Began work at Emerson on January 4, 1979. Attended evening classes at Washington University in St Louis. Awarded a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science in June 1986. Accepted a long term assignment in the capacity of a field service engineer at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA. Moved from St Louis to Savannah in July 1995. Retired from DRS Technologies (formerly Emerson Electric CompanyÃ¢ÂÂs E&S Division) in January 2013 with a total of 34 four years of service.
