I first went into the AIR FORCE on June 23rd, 1971, after tech school in oct 1971 I was shipped to Danang AB Vietnam I was assigned to Base Command Post. I was just 18 years old and saw many of my friends that were killed wounded and scarred for life. I was transferred to UTPAO AB THAILAND 1975th Base Communication's Center. typing messages using autodin to process incoming and outgoing messages. I Went to Taiwan and then to 712TH DASC AUSTIN TEXAS. So, on Jul 27th, 1977, I was discharged from the air force after 6 years.
