About Me	Attended Central School grades 2-5, (Oberlies, Till, Smith & Dunman? Mattsinger? For some reason grade 5 isn’t registering but think our regular teacher was out sick for quite a while? I do remember our teacher reading books to us chapter by chapter, and us girls passed Nancy Drew books back & forth.). Started at brand new middle school for a couple weeks & then family moved to So. Cal so I never actually attended SHS but remember SO many classmates & friends from Brownie Troop 492 led by Denise Rue & Ellen Paine’s moms. Have seen some familiar names on here; Amy Hessemer, Shelly Cahoon, Gayle Watson, Jack Gibson, Frank Huntington. Just seeing the names brings back so many memories! Bonnie Swan and I were “besties” but I lost track of her years ago. Hi if you’re out there, Bonnie, or for that matter any classmates or Brownies who might remember back to the Dark Ages when we were in elem school! Since leaving PA 9/63 I graduated from h.s. & college in CA, moved to WA ‘85-90, NC ‘90-‘96 & n of Atlanta GA since June ‘96, the longest we’ve been anywhere! We spend a lot of time in the mtns of Western NC in Cashiers, and 1 daughter lives in Nashville, should any of my old friends turn up in any of these locales! In all this time I’ve only been back in Springfield once, visited Miss Till and ran into Jack Gibson in the middle of Ridgewood Rd, newly home from Central America. Ended up loving Claremont, CA too after being homesick for a couple years! But always wished I could spend more time in Springfiel...(read more)
