HOPPES, JR. 53, of Vero Beach, Florida and formerly of Springfield, died Tuesday, june 11, 2002 in The Veterans Administration Medical Center, Miami, Florida following a prolonged illness. He was born August 13, 1948 in Springfield, Ohio, the son of Roger E. Hoppes, Sr. and Kathleen (Mallick) Hoppes. Roger was a Veteran of the United states Navy serving during the Veitnam War and was a member of Central Assembly of God in Vero Beach. He is preceded in death by his father. Graveside services will be held in Ferncliff Cemetery Monday at 10:00 a.m. with Pastor Jody McGuire officiating. Memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society, 3375 20th Street, Vero Beach, Florida 32960 or the Veterans Administration Medical Center, 1201 N. W. 16th Street, Miami, Florida 33125.
