| About Me | Traveled to Egypt, Jordon, Lebanon, Greece, Italy, Germany and France. Worked for about 10 years as a secretary at a variety of places before I got married and moved to Lewiston, NY (outside of Niagara Falls) I decided to be a stay at home mom (that was important to me) then got a job (which was one of about 10 different ones I have worked for over the years). I did not actually graduate with my class, my father got transferred the summer of my jr-sr class, so I ended up in a new school way up in northern New York. What a shock, but I did learn to ski. Stayed home with kids, then went back to work. My last job was working at Carlisle Barracks Veterinary Clinic, Carlisle War College, Carlisle PA My husband is CMSgt Eric Renaud. He spent 8 years active then the next 28 1/2 in the Air Force Reserve Unit at Niagara Falls NY. He taught men to be Loadmasters on C130 Cargo planes. His Federal job required that he also be active in the Air Force Reserves. He retired after spending a total of 33-1/3 years in the service. It was like my being in the service too. I had to take care of all things from car registrations, insurance, household problems (which were Guaranteed to happen right after he left town) and the care of 3 boys born 01/1979, 11/1979 & 08/1982. I was very busy. LOL. I told him that any time he spent away from us was like being on vacation. He traveled all over the world including Africa and South America. I used to tease the guys that they paid someone to set it up that their plane broke down upon landing in places like Hawaii. He once came home sunburned because he spent the day before returning our in a boat snorkeling in the Caribbean Islands. I slapped him (very hard) on the back and asked him how his trip was. I was supposed to feel sorry for them for having to spend an extra 4 days there while waiting for a part for the plane. I don't think so! So that's why I told him he might be working but it was like a vacation. In all fairness I have to say he did periodically take care of the boys while I traveled to Pittsburgh to visit an o...(read more) |
