Had Coach DV for American History. Three boys sat in the the first three seats in the row by the windows. Dennis Ferguson, Jim Devore and Nick Mulone. Every day when we came into the class, while Coach was standing in the hall, one of us would turn the world globe upside down. There was a little trick to how you held the globe.
When we would come back the next day, we would spin it back. This went on the whole semester. Before we left on the last day we waited until we were ready to leave for the last time and went to the globe (it was in a stand and was about 2 feet in diameter) and we spun it right side up. Coach got real red in the face and the started to laugh his head off. He said he could never figure out how to fix it and never knew who kept doing it. Never thought it was us.
He was a good teacher, great coach and a wonderful roll model.
