Like many of her classmates, I had a crush on Chris. She sat in front of me in a course (science?) and almost every class I would stare at the back of her head and wish I had the courage to ask her out. But I was shy and afraid of rejection, and never did ask her out. Because I was a nerd and she was.... OMG..... I can still picture her as she was back then. Turning around in her seat to exchange a few words with me and smiling... All I can think to say after more than 50 years is, "Goodbye to my high school fantasy girl." Bob Lande
