New Beaumont school

Located roughly on Cheryl st., .2 mile East of Harley Ridge Road. There were three frame houses located there when in the early sixties. Many old foundation sites. My father told me the location, I was thru there on bicycles with friends during my youth. Never knew it had a name until the last Homecoming.
Dad told me of the booming area during his youth.
He mentioned a lot of out of work ship builders from Beaumont Texas made up a majority of the inhabitants. All were looking for work during the boom.
It was a very poor community, only a few houses were built well.
