| About Me | "Thou art so beautiful, oh, my love." --1: 15 Song of Solemn My name is Micaela Jade Sloan. I am 20 years young! :) If you want to ask me who I am, I'll tell you, 'I'm just me!' :) I can't be classified under any category and my opinion is no one can. We are who we are and we shouldn't be afraid to embrace that! I do not believe in the need to make a first impression. I believe that if you are happy with yourself (& you should be!) than there is no need to hide who you are! I have a HUGE heart and PLENTY of it to spread around. I have two types of family: Blood and Friendship They both make up my life and I refuses to live without either. I am easy to get along with and to get to know. If you take the chance to get to know me as a person you'll soon find this to be true: --I'm happy, funny, loved, short, strong in the heart, not so much physically, but I can't help that, I'm only so big! :) I'm musically inclined--I sing and play the piano. I like to think I'm both fun and energetic. My life has not been easy, then again, who's has? I'd like to meet you if you think your life has been an easy one. I am working on eliminating the word "try" entirely from my vocabulary. Along with that, I am learning to speak in terms of things definitely happening, rather than possibilities. ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE! I have learned that I cannot and will not fail. A great friend shared with me a quote his mentor shared with him that I will forever carry with me. He said, "You can never fail, you can only not participate.” -This is true. Everything I've been through in my life, both good and bad has been a lesson for me. I am healing. I have come very far from where I was even a year ago. I am happy with my life. A close friend of mine once told me that some people in life are affectors and others are the affected. I am mostly the affected, yet I also affect others. I base my entire life around making a difference in this world. I am far from perfect and I have accepted my flaws. I don't always practice the things I preach. I make mistakes over and over again. I have days where I am down on myself. I am human. One thing I can say about myself is that if you're in need of a friend or just someone to listen I will drop everything to help. I promise that I do not judge people. I am a proud Christian, though I don't go to church often. I believe in miracles. I have a fear of dying. If I am ever sad or angry I almost always get over it within five minutes. My thoughts are that if I am sad for anything more than that, it's just a waste of what little time we are given here. “"You are the author of your life, and you write in pen. Say, 'I'm sorry I can't erase my own mistakes, [...(read more) |
