About Me	I run a construction company, and try to balance work, family and play as best I can. I love to go treasure hunting and my friends tell me I can make a silk purse out of sow's ear. I have built 2 houses in 5 years and have developed a talent of taking scraps, inexpensive materials and transforming them to look like we spent a fortune. The first house I lived in a 24' trailer for 6 months working on the house (with expert help as well) every day. I can point to most of it and tell you what restaurant or job I salvaged the leftover material from. The new house we didn't use leftovers, but the skinflint that I am came into play every step of the way. When I got a 30,000 estimate for cabinets, I bought unfinished bare oak cabinets for $2500 and made them look like the 30,000 ones I wanted...it took 3 months and blood sweat and tears, but I got pretty okay at woodworking when it was all said and done... I used to compete in pro-am dance competitions all over, but have settled with only taking a ballroom lesson from time to time due to a knee surgery. I miss it terribly and my figure does as well, but...working on that.. I have my cosmetology license but have never worked in a salon, instead I do hair/makeup as a hobby transforming girls into "Cinderella" for proms/wedding, etc. I love to do it, but fear that the everyday work will take the fun out of it... I have a great guy and a beautiful daughter who sometimes drive me crazy but who I couldn't imagine being happy without. I have 2 beautiful grandchildren that keep me young, on my toes and make me smile just talking about them. I have a wonderful support system of family who I wonder all the time what I did to deserve. I have a few great friends who have seen me through my worst of times and have stuck around to celebrate my best of times. All in all, I feel ver...(read more)
