Class of 1974

I attended Spearman High School from January - May, 1974. I married Randy Burress in December of 1973 and we moved to Spearman to work with his parents in the church they pastored there. Although my time in Spearman was short, I will never forget the teachers and friends I made in those few months. Randy and I moved back to Arkansas soon after graduation and we both resumed previous jobs. Three months later, I lost Randy following a motorcycle accident in Rogers, Arkansas. My experience in my early life led me to found an award-winning non-profit organization that assists needy children at Christmas. The Sharing & Caring Program is now in its 28th year in Benton County, Arkansas. I received a medal for my work in 1993 presented to me in Washington, D.C. by Former First Lady Barbara Bush. That year, my first book, a young-adult mystery, was published and I have been writing ever since. I now have 12 published books and am a current finalist in Amazon's Breakthrough Novel Award competition.

I would love to hear from my fellow 1974 graduates.
