About	Joyce A. Newby, age 43, of Plover, died October 1, 2015. Joyce was born October 4, 1971 in Stevens Point, WI. She grew up in Plover, attended the local grade schools, and graduated from SPASH. Joyce earned a Bachelor’s degree in English at UWSP. Joyce worked at the After Dark Coffee House and was known for her friendly and helpful nature. She often helped local authors by proofreading their work. Joyce also worked as a clerk at The Book Store. She was most recently a home maker. Her main focus in life was dedicating her time as a loving mother. She married Brad Ludwig in 1999. They later divorced. Joyce treasured spending time with her son; he was her whole world. In her spare time, Joyce enjoyed reading, sewing, crafts, traveling, and preparing for Christmas. She is survived by her son, Alex of Plover; parents, Melvin and Molly (Kutz) Newby of Plover; brothers, John (Lydia) Newby of Plainfield and Dale (Sasha Krupnow) Newby of Madison; nieces, Janelle and Kayla; and many close friends. She is preceded in death by her grandparents. A Funeral Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 6, 2015 at Boston Funeral Home with Rev. Howard Kruize presiding. Visitation will precede the funeral from 9:00 a.m. until time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will be in Plover Cemetery at a later date.
