Stevens Point - Scott W. Johnson, age 48, of Plover, WI passed away December 5, 2021 at home. He passed away after a 10 year battle with cancer. His mother, aunt Joan and best friends, Scott, Jason, Zack, and Tina were by his side.
Scott was born to Wayne & Betty (Wolfe) Johnson on April 6, 1973 in Stevens Point, WI. He attended the local schools and graduated from SPASH. He went onto to earn a degree in computer drafting from MSTC.
Scott worked various jobs including construction for 12 years, owner of SJ Woodworks LLC building cabinetry, furniture, and remodeling. He recently was working as a fork lift driver for Americold.
He spent many years as a member of SCA (Society of Creative Anachronism). In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, bowling, metal working, computer gaming, and rock climbing.
Scott is survived by his mother, Betty Johnson; step-brothers, Gary & Douglas Johnson; and step-sisters, Jeanne, Kari, and Melissa Johnson.
He was preceded in death by his father, Wayne on March 10, 2015.
A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 16, 2021 at Celebration Church, 4701 Industrial Park Drive in Stevens Point with Rev. Bob Cole presiding. Visitation will precede the service on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Portage County Humane Society and Freedom Church.
