Graduation Year Class of 1990
Date of Passing Aug 31, 2021
About Rolehan (Joe) Lee Batchelor, 49, of Sparks passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, August 31, 2021. Preceded in death by less than an hour by his father Norman Lee Batchelor II, he is survived by his mother Milly Louise Batchelor; siblings Sarah, Andrew, and Samantha Batchelor; son Blake; former wife Danielle, and step-daughter Gabriella.
Born August 10, 1972, Rolehan came out "looking like a Joe" and the name stuck. Busy as a boy, Joe learned cross country skiing, remote control boats and airplanes, and how to unlock every lock his parents could install all so he could be free to go out and have some fun.
Following the example of military service, Joe joined the Navy after high school where he enjoyed traveling the world and experiencing other cultures, especially Italy.  Constantly full of gifts, he always brought something back for someone.
Speaking of gifts, having a son of his own made the world a tremendous place to live in for Joe. He loved teaching Blake, coaching his football team, joking with him, and watching him grow. He hated being apart from him.
An avid Green Bay Packers fan, there was never a jersey, a hat, a game, or a piece of memorabilia or souvenir Joe would refuse when it came to his team.
A tough talker with the ability to stand up straight and strong like a lion, Joe was quietly soft-hearted and cared deeply for his family. His serious talks, his funny stories, his way of making amends between parties, his quick and sincere apologies, and his ability to make a difficult situation light will be sorely missed.
Joe will be conveyed to the Little Shasta Cemetery in Siskiyou County, CA to be laid to rest.  An open house for all to greet family and friends, remembering both Joe and Norman, will be held at 1 p.m. at the LDS church building on Shadow Lane in Sparks on Thursday, September 30th.  There will be an opportunity to share memories both written and orally at that time. With gratitude, his Family
