About Me	Tom graduated from Purdue University with a DVM degree in 1979. After 1.5 years of practicing in a predominately large animal practice in Illinois, he moved to a mixed animal practice in Rensselaer, Indiana. His focus on swine production medicine allowed him to start Rensselaer Swine Services, P.C. in 1991. He remained the sole owner and founder of his company before selling to Pipestone Veterinary Services after 27 years. Today, Dr. Tom Gillespie’s consulting practice is Performance Health P.C with with producers on PRRSV and special projects. He obtained diplomate status with the American Board of Veterinary Practitioners in Swine Health and Management Specialty in 1989 and successfully recertified every ten years. He is a graduate of the Executive Veterinary Program from University of Illinois in 2009. He received the Swine Practitioner of the Year award from the American Association of Swine Veterinarians (AASV) at the annual meeting in March 2010. Tom served as president of AASV in 2006.
