| About Me | I served 6 years in the Nuclear Navy, assigned to 2 nuclear submarines, (USS Haddo SSN 604 for 3 years and USS Tinosa SSN 606 for 1 year). After military service I worked one year at a Research and Development facility just south of Pittsburgh, PA. I spent most of my career working in the nuclear industry building nuclear power plants (Fermi II in Monroe, MI, Callaway in Fulton, MO, and Waterford III outside of New Orleans) performing refueling outages (Duane Arnold in Cedar Rapids, Iowa), I also did quite a bit of Department of Energy work (also nuclear) at various sites, i.e. Savannah River in South Carolina, Rocky Flats in Colorado, INEL in Idaho, Pantex in Texas, Mound in Ohio, Hanford in Washington, and Portsmouth in Ohio. In addition I worked at a NASA site in Sandusky Ohio (also nuclear) and did some Department of Defense work in Pasco Washington (non-nuclear). I also worked as a Boiler Operator for one year at a Hospital near the Detriot, MI airport, and was the Maintenance Supervisor for Monroe Public Schools for 3 years in Monroe, MI.
