George played football for the Eagles and after graduation served four years in the USAF. He moved with his family to Lake City, Fl in 1971 where he was an Occupational Specialist in the Guidance Dept. at Columbia Highschool. He later taught ESE students and vocational education. He was well known as someone who was always there to help anyone in need. He left behind his wife, daughter Julie and son Keith.
