Favorite School Memory	I took 3rd at the Northwood tourny my Jr. yr. The guy that took first I never knew who he was or got to wrestle against him....but i knew he was good. He wore this mask to protect his face because his teeth struck out and cut his lips all the time. So to me he was kinda this scary guy that lived behind the mask. I knew he would be coming to Southviews tourny the following week and i would probably be seeing him. So I pushed myself hard that week to give myself a chance to beat him. He was seeded 1st and i was seeded 4th. We were on the same sides of the Brackett. My first matches were easy wins. And than me and Mitch met in the semi-finals. Off the whistle he shot and hit me in the face with his mask. It about knocked me out and i found myself on the ground with him running a bar arm on me. It made me mad and a different Colby came to life. I wreslted that match like no other match...i hung in there with him to the very end. It was 8 to 8 with 9 secs left. Im on top and if he gets out he will probably win. And well.. he gets out with about 4 secs left...he tries to run around the mat to get away from me but like in football....you can tackle. I tackle him and he lands out of bounds....but both my feet are in and i have control of him. The ref. gives me my 2 takedown points and I win the match 10-9. Southviews Gym errupted!!! By far one of my greatest matches. Come to find out Mitch was a state qualifier from the year before and would finish to be a 3 time state qualier. Mitch and i would later wreslte again at the Waite Tourny....same circumstances....im down with 7 secs to go in the match by one point....he knows im gonna have to come get him again....so he backs away from me...and when i rush in to get him he shot and took me down to hold on and finish me off. We had a great deal of respect for each other. We battled it out and both of us loved to beat a guy named Ryan Derr because that guy was a dirty trash talking wreslte. About Me	Worked many different jobs. I was never a college guy. Just hated school too much i guess and didnt want to spend all that money. Now the Army will pay for that if i ever decide to find a job that requires me to go to school. My most full-filling job would have been coaching wrestling. There was nothing like havin kids look up to you as a role-model and trying to be all you can be to raise them into good men. My last year of coaching I coached at Timberstone Jr. High with my older brother Jesse and got to coach my little brother for all his years of wrestling. I than joined the Army with him after i found out that he signed up after he graduated from southview. Weve been kickin ass ever since. Kyle and i have both graduated Airborne, R.I.P.(Ranger Indoctrine Program) and The U.S. Army Ranger School. I have been to Afghanistan 2X. Kyle has been to Aghanistan and Iraq one time each.
