Cory Olsen, 38, formerly of Fort Smith, died Friday, Feb. 6, 2009, as the result of a single car accident in Irving, Texas. A beloved son, devoted brother, faithful friend and fearless traveler, Cory will be missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Charles and Marion Code, formerly of Fort Smith; grandfather, Sigurd Olsen of Yankton, S.D.; and niece, Meghan McLain.
He is survived by his father and mother, Steve and Peggy Olsen of Fort Smith; sister, Christa McLain and her husband, Joel of Marietta, Ga., sister, Erica Olsen of Marshall, Texas; and grandmother, Mavis Olsen of Yankton, S.D. He will be missed deeply by nephew and niece, Connor and Reese McLain, as well as his extended family and friends.
Cory’s life will be celebrated during a funeral Mass at Christ the King Church in Fort Smith on Friday, Feb. 13, 2009, at 10 a.m. under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
