| Favorite School Memory | Building a homecoming float in my drive way. It was a giant cardinal. When we began to pull the float the wings lifted and began to take flight. The huge bird collapsed and we had to rebuild it in a matter of hours! |
| About Me | After graduating from Southport, I went to Purdue University and married my high school sweet heart after my freshman year. We had our first daughter while at Purdue and our second daughter while I was at Ball State University. I began teaching art 6weeks before my last semester was at BSU was over. My husband accepted a position in Smithfield, VA. We love it here. I taught art for 25 years at a private school. I stepped away to paint full time. I loved painting, but missed the kids. Six years ago, I went to volunteer in a school in Norfolk. I am still there teaching. It is a wonderful school, but the best part is that I teach with my youngest daughter (she is now my boss and that is great. We actually still speak). I now have 3 grandchildren in the same school.
