Mrs. McCarty was born June 20, 1969, a daughter of Richard Trout and Sherry Ebardt. She married Mike McCarty on July 14, 1990 in Crawfordsville. He survives. Laura was a member of Northview Christian Church, Danville, whose pastor and members have faithfully surrounded Mike and the family with their fervent prayers, support and love throughout the past months. Laura brought sunshine, laughter and warmth of God's love with her wherever she went. Everyone who was fortunate enough to be touched by her life immediately felt the effects of her gracious spirit. School children, Sunday school children, family, friends, elderly nursing home residents, people she passed on the street--- all received her cheery greeting and were uplifted and blessed by her presence. Laura served God by being His smiling face on earth. Laura made a warm and loving home for Mike and the children. She also supported Mike in his business and professional career. She had a wonderful ability to focus on the truly important things in life--- faith, family and friends. It was her deep faith in God that sustained her brave spirit to the very end of her short but joyful life. Also surviving are her three children Logan, Evan and DeLaney, all of Danville, IN; her parents Sherry and Donald Hutcheson and Dick and Elaine Trout of rural Crawfordsville. She also leaves her sisters Leisa Livingston and Cresta Priebe and brothers Jeff Trout, Randy Miller and Kevin Miller. Visitation Services will be from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church, 1905 Lebanon Road (State Rd 32 East). Burial Services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the First Baptist Church. Hunt & Son Funeral Home is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Laura McCarty Memorial Fund at any National City Bank location. Online condolences may be made at www.huntandson.com. |
