Enlisted in 1986 after the death of my father (while a Junior in High School). Attended Basic Training the Summer between Junior & Senior year. Comissioned as a 2nd Lieutenant in 1990. Deployed to Iraq in 2004. Current rank - Lieutenant Colonel in the NC Army National Guard
