I was saddened to hear of Karen’s passing. I still remember her kind words in our yearbook from Zoology: “Fred – Just from getting to know you… you are a really warm, thoughtful, nice and funny person… Remember always look toward the sun, and life will be a blessing for love.” That same warmth and positivity touched everyone who knew her.

Karen’s light, her thoughtfulness, and her love for life will always be remembered. She made the world brighter for those around her, and I feel fortunate to have known her.
