| Favorite School Memory | Most important, the advice from Mr. Theodore Sims who taught chemistry, and although I did not pass chemistry the first time, Mr. Sims helped me see that education was important. The support of teammates from the football and baseball teams. |
| About Me | In 1971 a refused to sign a baseball contract with the St Louis Cardinals. Instead opting for degrees in chemistry and mathematics from the University of Alabama. Later earned a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences at Meharry Medical College. I spent 20 years on the faculties of University of Texas Medical Branch, Medical College of Georgia and the University of Nebraska Medical Center.
