| About Me | Raised on the eastside of Detroit, Vlando found interest in music. He learned the skill of a Disc Jockey from a friend and started singing in the Osborn High School Concert Choir and play piano for the Osborn High Jazz Band. In the 12th grade Vlando had an encounter with God in April of 93' and on that following Sunday, received Jesus as Lord. After three years walking with the Lord, he accepted his call to the ministry and preach his first sermon at Hosanna C.O.G.I.C. in September of 96. Vlando meet Taneka Johnson in August of 96 at a youth program, in August of 97 they became friends after a fellowship with her church New Creation C.O.G.I.C. and his church Hosanna C.O.G.I.C. A year and a month later they were married on Sept 5, 1998. That same year they built a home studio and Vlando began playing the electric bass. Nine years of service under the leadership of Supt. Willie F. Johnson pastor of New Creation C.O.G.I.C., in August of 2006, Vlando was ordained by Bishop P.A. Brooks Presiding Prelate of Northeast Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction of Michigan. 2008 Elder Vlando Charleston was called to serve on the National C.O.G.I.C. Adjutants Corps. by Overseer James Smith.
