Army, 20+ Years
Served two tours in Germany, numerous stateside assignments. Last tour was at Ft Wainwright Alaska. First Sergeant of a Combat Aviation Company. Favorite aircraft, UH 1H Helicopter. Employed with the Georgia Department of Corrections for 16 years. Appointed in Feb1998, as the first Black Director of the Corrections Academy, for the state of Georgia.

I did lots of traveling and spent time in other countrys. The aircraft I worked with carried fuel and some carried bombs. Some places were very cold and some hot. I am very proud of my service time. If I had to do it all over again, I would go because it would be my duty, my honor, my country I will be returning to.

Served in the U.S. Army for 24 years. Currently teaching Junior Reserve Officer Training at M. L. King High School, Detroit. Proudly wearing the Army uniform for 35 years.

Served in South Vietnam in1970, in the US Army. Changed to the US Air Force in 1974, Served as an Aircraft Loadmaster on board the C-5 A Galaxy Aircraft. Retired in 1992 in Hawaii.
