The 6th committee meeting was held July 09, 2011. Seven members from the two classes met at the home of Larry and Linda (Lynch) Coltrane. Class members attending the 6th meeting were: Class of 1963 Class of 1962 Mavis (Terflinger) Benner Bob Thomas Sally (Peel) Brynds Marilyn (Ascanio) Leiker Linda (Lynch) Coltrane Larry Coltrane Carolyn (Kruger) West Topics discussed during the 6th planning session: 1. Date and location of the reunion: Lamplighter Inn, 4020 Parkview Drive, Pittsburg, Kansas September 22, 2012 Two rooms-accommodate 100 people Rooms available 9 am to midnight Numerous service and visual/sound equipment available Lamplighter Inn will reserve a block of 10 rooms for $69/night until two weeks before the reunion (Price may be a bit higher by next year.) 2. Reunion Schedule (subject to change/ depends on a home football game scheduled for Friday, September 21, 2012) September 21, Friday Southeast Rural High School 6:00 pm-7:30 pm–School Cafeteria-Pre Game Social/soft drinks 7:30 pm-9:00 pm−Lancers Football vs TBA(to be announced) 9:00 pm−Reacquaint yourself with the local night life September 22, Saturday Lamplighter Inn 10:30 am-Noon Registration Noon-1:30pm Lunch 1:30pm-6:00pm Time to visit/1960's music Memories by classmates Photos of classmates during Jr. and Sr. Yrs. Room , table decorations, and acknowledgments: Table placement with Lancer mascot insignia and events/ songs popular during 1961-1963 School Flag Deceased class members memorial Map identifying current cities of class members Name tags 4. Budget Based on the information obtained a budget was discussed that included the cost of: event rooms, lunch, dinner, decorations, class picture, continental breakfast, prizes, and future postage. With the information available to establish a budget, we proposed a $30 fee for each individual attending the reunion. 5. Reunion letter with details At the next committee meeting, a letter will be prepared for mailing to classmates with the details and the cost to attend. It was decided the letter should be sent near the end of 2011 or early 2012 to allow adequate time for classmates to make plans for attending the reunion. 6.
