50th Anniversary Reunion Committee Meeting Classes of 1962 and 1963 Posted Jun 01, 2011 by Marilyn Ascanio April 17, 2011 50th Anniversary Reunion of SEHS Classes of 1962 & 1963 The 5th committee meeting was held April 17, 2011. Eight members from the two classes met at the home of Larry & Linda (Lynch) Coltrane. Class members attending the 5th meeting were: Class of 1963 Class of 1962 Sally (Peel) Brynds Jerry Lomshek Mavis (Terflinger) Benner Marilyn (Ascanio) Leiker Linda (Lynch) Coltrane Larry Coltrane Christina (Reda) Kastler Bob Thomas Topics discussed during the 5th planning session: 1.Location & date for reunion: The Lamplighter Inn (formerly Holiday Inn) on North Broadway in Pittsburg was selected as the site for the reunion. Saturday, September 15, 2012, was selected as the most favorable date. Saturday, September 22, 2012 was selected as an alternative date. Jerry, Sally, and Linda will contact Lamplighter Inn’s Function Coordinator, Cheryle Wilson, to reserve the banquet facilities, discuss cost, food & drink arrangements, and the availability of sound and projection equipment. We will contact the high school principal and request use of the school on Sunday morning for the remaining activities. 2. Music: In an effort to minimize cost and allow classmates to visit longer, the committee decided not to hire a band or DJ. There will be pre-recorded background music popular during the 1960's. 3. Additional correspondence regarding the reunion: Additional correspondence regarding the date, time, place, and cost will be prepared and mailed to class member during the summer of 2011. 4. Activities, favors, prizes: Numerous ideas were discussed about activities, favors, and prizes. These items will be discussed at a later meeting. 5. Scheduled next meeting: The next committee meeting was scheduled for July 9, 2011, at the home of Larry & Linda Coltrane.
