About Me	We are living our dream of retiring at Holden Beach, NC! We walk the beach and see what treasures are put in our paths. Each and every day is a blessing! I am enjoying the simpler joys of life. I have found that most of the things that make me angry won't matter in a day or two, so I won't let it shorten my life or steal my joy. People who you think are your friends are only after what you can do for them and then they will stab you in the back to make themselves look good... I found this out the hard way. A true friend helps you through the bad times, shares the good times, holds your hand through the sad times, and NEVER judges you. They love you no matter what you have done, be it good or bad. I have very few of these types of true friends. Judy is the one person I can confide in no matter what. We have been labeled "Thelma and Louise who morph into Lucy and Ethel." She has seen me thru some really rough times, but does not judge me, and has ALWAYS been there for me no matter what and I am there for her. She is truly my bestest friend. I have one sister, Lisa. She is truly my female soul mate as she knows me as good as I know myself. My grandchildren are my joy, Kaycie , Benjamin, and Tristan after my children, Melissa and Melanie, and Mark. Melissa has grown to be such a great person...a Petty Officer First Class with the US Navy and earned an Associates Degree in Paralegal Science. She is just like my Momma...God help us all!!! Melanie, we call her "Einstein" sometimes but she is book smart and an honor roll student. She has brought me such job late in my life... Please say a prayer for Mark, as he needs direction in his life. I know why God waited so long to give me Melanie. He knew I would be lonely when Momma and Daddy went to Heaven...and she brings me great joy (when I'm not dealing with those teenage moments...) Bennie is my love. After 25 years, we're still together and happy as clams, especially living at the beach now. Life's a dance you learn as you go...sometimes you lead, sometimes you follow.
