| About Me | While attending USL (now ULL), I met Elizabeth Edmunds, and we married during my senior year. After graduating, I attended the University of Colorado Law School in Boulder, Colorado. Then we moved to the Virginia suburbs of Washington, DC, and worked for the FCC from 1972-75. Then I joined a private firm, which, through two mergers, is now part of Pillsbury, a major international law firm with eleven offices in the U.S. and offices in London, the Emirates, Shanghai, and Tokyo. My practice focused on the representation of media businesses, including the largest owner of television stations in the U.S. In 2015 Elizabeth and I relocated to Driftwood, Texas, and I moved to Pillsbury’s Austin office. I retired from Pillsbury on January 1, 2018. In July, 2018, I formed a small consulting firm, Elder Hill RTC Advisors, to assist media entities in retransmission consent negotiations. Elizabeth and I have two children: Kate, who is married and lives in San Antonio, is a cardio-thoracic anesthesiologist. She has one son, Clifford.
