| About Me | After college and graduate school, I went into the Air Force/NY Air National Guard and began working for General Motors. I stayed with GM for 25 years (in NY and Detroit), leaving in 1987 as VP in charge of its corporate Personnel Administration and Development Staff. In 1988 I started my own management consulting firm (MacKinnon Associates) with which i still work. In 1989 my wife of 24 years, Ann, died of cancer. In 1993 I remarried (the former Patricia Hanley). During my Detropit years I was a Trustee of Children's Hospital of Michigan and for the last five years was Chairman of the Board of that hospital. In 2007 we moved from the Detroit area to Santa Barbara.
