After a six-month course in Russian at the Army Language school in Oberammergau, Germany and also became proficient in German as my MOS, leading to screening of East German refugees in northern Bavaria and Russian DPs also in other regions in Germany.

Went to basic training at Fort Dix, NJ. Was at Fort Sam Houston, TX for AIT Training as a Pharnacy Technician. I spent the rest of my enlistment at Fort Ord, CA as a pharmacy technician where is served through Desert Storm before getting out in 1992. Now I am a DAV and enjoyed serving my country.
