SUSAN K. LIVENSPARGER, 69, of Fort Wayne and Coldwater, Mich., passed away on Friday, Feb. 4, 2011, at 1:15 p.m., at the Heartland of Waterville Nursing Home in Waterville, Ohio, after a battle with cancer. Born Feb. 20, 1941, she was a Sigma Kappa Sorority member, Girl Scout Leader, co-founder of Settlers, Fort Wayne Parks and Recreation contributor, Super Market Service daycare founder and company newspaper editor, Fort Wayne Community Schools elementary school teacher who had retired after 20 years of loving service. Survivors include her husband of 49 years, LaMar P. Livensparger; son, Jeff (Jacelyn) Livensparger of Fort Wayne; daughter, Melissa (Charles) Gottschalk of Whitehouse, Ohio; sister, Caroline (Nelson) Deuitch of Toronto, Ontario; grandsons, Chase and Chip Gottschalk and Camron Livensparger; grand-daughters, Molly Gottschalk, Chloe and Carly Livensparger; three nephews; one niece; and multiple grand-nephews and grand-nieces. She was preceded in death by parents, Larry and Pauline Holmes. Service is 11 a.m. Feb. 10, 2011, at D.O. McComb & Sons Covington Knolls Funeral Home, 8325 Covington Road with calling one hour prior to the service. Calling also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the funeral home. Burial in Covington Memorial Gardens, Fort Wayne, Indiana. Memorials may be made to the Allen County Public Library, Fort Wayne Civic Center, or The Whitehouse Library in Whitehouse, Ohio.
