Terrance “Terry” Dunyak, age 74 of Old Bridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 10, 2026, at Old Bridge Medical Center. Born in New Brunswick, Terry spent most of his life in South River before moving to Old Bridge 20 years ago. Prior to his retirement, he worked for the United States Postal Service as a mail carrier in South River, where he dedicated his entire career to serving the community. In his free time, Terry enjoyed fishing and playing darts.
He is predeceased by his parents, Theodore and Marcella Dunyak; his brother, Theodore Dunyak Jr; his sister, Elizabeth Varadi; and by his daughter, Heather Susan Dunyak. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, April and Vincent Trzeciak; his son, Marc Dunyak; his significant other, Deborah Ivan; his grandson, Andrew Clayton; and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours will be held on Friday, from 3pm to 7pm at Maliszewski Funeral Home, 218 Whitehead Avenue, South River. A private cremation will follow.
