About John K. "Scotty" Skarzynski, 65, of Palm Coast, Florida, passed away on March 3, 2017 at his residence. A Memorial Mass will be held at 11:30am on Saturday April 1, 2017 at St. James the Less Roman Catholic Church, 36 Lincoln Avenue, Jamesburg, NJ 08831.

Scotty was born on April 13, 1951 in New Brunswick, NJ to the late John Joseph and Gertrude C. Skarzynski.

He graduated from Penn State University with a Bachelor in Science degree. While at Penn State he played football for the Penn State Nittany Lions of which he participated in numerous Bowls. Scotty retired as a Sergeant with the New Jersey State Police after over 25 years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus in South River, NJ, the Elks Lodge #2709 in Palm Coast and the Flagler Gun Club.

He was an avid golfer and gun enthusiast. He loved the game of football and never lost touch with his fellow teammates which he held in high regard.

Survivors include his loving wife of 34 years, Sandra; two step-sons, Richard of FL and Gerald (Fanny) of NJ; sister, Carol of AZ; grandson, Ricky of FL; father-in-law, Robert Snure of NJ; brother-in-law, Jerry (Rose) Snure of NJ; nieces and nephews, Shaun, Lindsay, Lee, Lisa, David and Heather.
