He was a dear friend in our high school years. I was attending college when a friend called to tell me Jim had died in combat in Vietnam. I came home for his services. His mother share a story with me to comfort me. He was just engaged at the time also and I had such sorrow for their lost future. Each year at Memorial Day I visit his grave to do flowers and pray along with my husband who returned home from Vietnam.
