Michael Matthew Binder
Class of 1993
Michael graduated from South Plainfield High School in 1993. He spent one year at the University of Delaware, one and one half years at Middlesex County College and two
and one half years at Richard Stockton College where he graduated in1998 with a major in Political Science. The last semester at Richard Stockton was spent in Washington D.C.as an intern. He stayed on in Washington for one year and worked as a Membership Co-ordinator. His next move was to San Diego, Cal.and worked as a sales rep for Thomas Register. This is when he decided to go back to school to obtain a Masters Degree in Political Science at San Diego State University. He reached his goal and graduated in 2003. Michael then deciided to persue a PHD degree in Political Science to become a Professor. He was accepted by The University of California San Diego.While studying for his PHD, he was asked to become a Research Fellow at the Lane Center located on the campus of Stanford University. Michael graduated from The University of California San Diego with a PHD degree in 2010. He was asked to work as a Research Fellow for The Hoover IInstitute, also on the campus of Stanford University. In August of 2011, Michael accepted a position as Assistant Professor of Political Science at The University of Northern Florida in Jacksonville, Florida where he is presently. He also signed a contract with the Hoover Institute as a Visiting Scholar. Attatched is his Resume of some of Michael's accomplishments..
