Aviation Machinist Mate, Reciprocating, served in the Cuban Crisis, and Vietnam. He was qualified to navigate military aircraft from an H3 helicopter to a C131 cargo transport. He retired in 1979 after 23+ years and died in 1996.

Viet Nam 23 months as a door gunner with the Navy's only elite attack helicopter Squadron HA(L)-3 Seawolves flying special ops with the river boats (PBR) and Navy Seals. After Viet Nam I was stationed in Norfolk, VA with a helicopter squadron working as a jet engine mechanic.

Joined the FL NG in 1977 and served with them for 30 years flying UH-1, AH-1 Cobra, AH-64 Apache and the C-12 fixed wing. Flew out of Kuwait during Operation Southern Watch in the Apache and went back to Kuwait flying the C-12 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. Retired as a CW5 in 2007.

Awards include 2 Air Medals, Navy Achivement medal., 3 Good Conduct medals, Presidential Unit Citation, Vietnam Service Medal with 3 stars, Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Psychological Warfare Technician First Class, Vietnam Presidental Unit Citation, and numerous letters of commendation.m
