| About Me | I am a writer, photographer/videographer, and artist. I work in the Aviation Industry currently. My first job was building aquariums and stands. I have worked as an electrician, roofer, & other construction trades & taken care of diverse animals; My favorite job was in NC at a museum/Science Center where I took care of 70+ animals daily and was a weekend aquarist and handled public shark and stingray feedings, as well as demos and classes on every field of science from aerodynamics to zoology. I also worked the planetarium. I was able to obtain my wildlife rehab license in NC which was a rewarding experience. I was born in Chicago, lived in California, grew up in NC and I am living life at the beach now in South Florida. Not a fan of the heat down here, and would rather be in the Pacific NW in the mountains and fog and in the slow drizzle on leaf-dampened trails. But ... life here isn't so bad. I travel a lot, so that keeps me sane. The deep-sea fishing here is amazing. Wahoo, mahi, black fin tuna, swordfish... I can't complain. Married to a man from Germany, and rediscovering my Norwegian roots lately. My husband is a high school teacher by trade, but has 2 master's degrees, in education & music production. He is a gifted musician, composer and music producer. Of all of Europe & Scandinavia that I've traveled, Norway is by far the most beautiful place on Earth that I've been. Can't imagine why my great grandparents ever left!! Going back this summer and can't wait. I will be going glacier hiking again & doing a lot of rock scrambles.
