Greetings to Members of the South High Class of 1964:

Just a reminder that our 60 year reunion is happening. The dinner will be held on October 19th at the HT Grill restaurant (old Velvet Turtle) in Redondo Beach. We'll have a DJ for music, a slide show featuring images from our annual, and a no-host bar. A ticket drawing for any unspent monies will be held during dinner. Also, an open mic for anyone who would like to reminisce about our/their days at South.

Prior to our Saturday dinner there will be an informal gathering around 6:00 p.m. to whenever, at a local Riviera Village pub/diner. More on that at a later date.

On Sunday we are planning for a get-together at South from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. However, at this time the event requires approval from the Torrance Unified School District. Hopefully permission will be granted, and if we are successful, we will have nostalgic music from our era, and tours of the school led by current South High teachers. If you haven't seen the campus in a while, there have been some nice additions. For those of you who traveled to Southern California by air, hopefully this timeframe will allow you to visit the school, yet give you ample opportunity to reach the airport for your return flight home.

The cost of the event will be $105 per person. At the dinner your server will offer you a choice of a meat, chicken, or fish entree. No need to preselect. However I must inform everyone that seating at this restaurant is limited to 100 dinners in the banquet room. At this time we have approximately 60 respondents. Therefore, if you wish to attend, we would ask that you submit your payment ASAP.
