Favorite School Memory	I enjoyed the days we had dance in Phys. Ed., but that's the only part of PE I really enjoyed! LOL I loved English with Faye Frye & typing & shorthand with Dixie Blake.
About Me	I became a cosmetologist and wk'd at that for 3 years (how I met my husband - I did his mom's hair); married a Navy guy & moved to Norfolk, VA; & then Virginia Beach where I still live. I have a wonderful son, who I'm so proud of. I took refresher courses in business & became employed by the City of Norfolk in 1977 & worked there for 28 yrs. 8 mos. @ the SCOPE Cultural & Convention Center (15 yrs) & the Norfolk Police Dept. (13 yrs. 8 mos.); retired June 1, 2006, to care for my husband who had MS & was in & out of the hospital a lot over the last 3 yrs. of his life; but we were blessed he was home with me the last 9 months he lived, & I thank God. I was very shy in high school, but getting married, moving away, & working with the public has really helped me, and now I'm a 180 from the way I was in high school & more outgoing and friendly. My husband and I traveled a lot before his health worsened, & we so enjoyed it. I've lived in the Norfolk/Va. Bch. area for 38 yrs. I've made many friends here & feel almost like a native. I still love Tennessee but rarely get there. My parents have passed, so I haven't been there much since 8/03, but did visit for short periods in 5/09 & 8/10. I miss my parents so much. I hope to get back there and visit in the near future. My only Sister, Peggy, moved to Va. Bch. w/her daughter in June of 1988, and it's good to have...(read more)
