Favorite School Memory | I don't really have any, I wasn't popular- high school was hard for me, but gradeschool was much much worse- I was different than everyone else, therefore sort of an outcast. I dropped out to get married and have babies. I divorced 8 years later and moved to Colorado. I never got my diplom...(read more) |
About Me | Geez, is that a loaded question, lol. I am now 32 and I left school when i was almost 18. There's a lot of time to fill. I was in a horrible marraige for 8 years- the man I left high school for was a real piece of work (it's funny, the choices we make when we are young are usually rash and unthought out- we don't know anything about what's good for us at 17, or at least I didnt, but you learn what you want in life by what you had that you didnt want, and I certainly did) I had 3 boys with him, and lived in total poverty. I finally got tired of being the battered wife and left him when I was 25 and took a greyhound bus to Colorado Springs, CO, where I knew no one and had a couple of high adventures trying to find my place in the world and also kind of having a self-exploration trip for two years- figuring out who I am and what I want in life, what I believe in and what makes me unique amongst peoplo. It was rewarding and necessary and made my future choices for myself of much better quality and understanding. After that, I went to work in the entertainment industry, which I am not going to go into, since it's really just not socially accepted as good work, but I made lots of money and learned a lot about the relationships and differences in thinking between women and men, and also learned what my value is physically as a woman, and what control I have over my life and what happens to me. I also learned to be outspoken and strong willed- not that I wasn't a bit anyway- I became assertive and self assured, confident and unafraid of people, and that at least changed my life for the better. I travelled around a bit- I really like to travel, it's probably because I was moved around so much as a kid- and then I met a man here in Colorado who was everything I was looking for. We have been together now for over 2 years, and I am happy- we never fight, love most of the same things, view life similarly, love each other dearly, and he's so brilliant, I actually feel a little slow in comparison- math was never my strong point, mine was english, and to a mathematician, all intelligence is based on mathematic ability- I never progressed beyond 8th grade math levels, so for a while, I think he might have thought I was stupid. I think he has realised since that there are more kinds of intelligence than just one kind, and that all people with intelligence dont measure up in every department, but usually specialize in one area or another, one talent or another. Anyhow, at present, we moved to Boulder in December of last year so that he could go back to college, and it is now May and he is out for the summer and working for a tree service sompany, while I look for work- I'm sure I'll have something in a week or so- it never takes me too long to find a job. We live in a large apt with a cat, a dog and a fish and lots of plants. Oh I forgot, I also have been modelling for about 7 years as a hobby, and do a shoot an average of once every 3 months or so, in a variety of different styles. In looks, I have been repeatedly compared to Betty Page, though that is through no design of mine, and my work is not like hers, we just have similar hair and features- similar facial bone structure, eyes, mouth, cheeks and chin. I didnt have any idea who she was until I had been compared to her hundre3ds of times and finally looked her up on the internet- I got tired of not knowing who I was b...(read more) |
