| About Me | I spent one year in 1965/66 in Eugene as an AFS-student from Switzerland. I was member of the ski team (with coach Tom Means) and the tennis team (coach Mike Rose) and attended classes in physics (Dr. Dirk Ten Brinke), maths (Robert Stothers), english (William Dedman, Eleanor Pratt, Albert Leinbach), american history (Edgar Goodnough), french (Betty Lou Kaspar), and physical education (Loyd Amick). In 1975 I married Annelis and we became parents in 1977 to Annette and in 1980 to the twins Marianne and Christine. In 1983/84 we moved to Honolulu, Hawaii, where I worked during one year as a visiting scientist at the U. of H. in the department of marine sciences.
